Publisher's summary

Hawk Haynes was proud of Porterville, Texas, a town he had founded. He had left it to go on a long honeymoon with Elizabeth Trudy, his new bride. When he returned, a black cloud had ascended upon the town. The peace and harmony was gone, and so was his best friend. Hawk was sure Lank Lankford didn’t leave of his own accord. Luke Tanner, an old army buddy had left with Lank, and that told Hawk things weren’t right. Lank would never partner up with the likes of Luke Tanner, a born killer. Hawk saddled up and headed out to look for them, little did he know the town’s problems had just begun.

Great Book!

This was a good book. I really enjoy cowboy books with a lot of yariaty in the actions of it.

The End of the Braver Man for Me

This story finished the Braver Man series for me. The only redeeming quality of the book is the work done by Rusty Nelson. This book needed to be about 5 hours shorter, and taking out most of the cursing probably would have accomplished that. It began to seem like in conversation that every noun was preceded with a "damn". Nobody in the book understood anything about morality. Nobody, not even the hero. You would almost think that all women of the west were whores (a word often repeated throughout the book) or would be given the right circumstances. I will not read on...

Poor Taste

A long story that’s hard to know which character is talking. While I tried to stay with the story, I often found myself completely lost due to much rambling. I can not recommend this for the foul language and poor taste in the rambling story line.
