A Great Read

Teens today have a tough way to go. Social media adds an added layer of pressure. I think anyone can have a hard time dealing with it and being a teen makes that even harder. This books lays out ways to deal with some of that anxiety that can help take away some of that pressure. This is something that can help for many years to come. The 7 day program is a great way to work on re-training your mind to deal with a much too common issue.

not just for teens- good for young adults too!

I have a 14-year-old nephew that struggles with anxiety. It is a constant barrier in his life that he is struggling to overcome. No one in my family battles anxiety, so it's difficult for us to understand.

This book helped me understand what it was like being in my nephew's shoes- I never truly understood how much he struggled until I listened to this audiobook. I grew up with the notion that anxiety was just something that you should "just get over." But boy, was I WRONG!

Tips and tricks explained throughout this book are both practical and easy to implement. I love there's a good amount of options that include going out to nature and mediation. Im big on nature and meditation, so this will be something that I can do regularly with my nephew!

I can't wait to see him this weekend so that I can implement some of the tricks I've learned!

P.S.- Even if you're not a teenager with anxiety, this book can help you if you're a college student preparing for a stressful test or even an athlete getting ready for their next game!

Great book for dealing with anxiety

This is a great book for dealing with anxiety. Anyone who suffers from anxiety would benefit from reading this. There were many way mentioned to help deal with anxiety including deep breathing, being mindful, exercise, getting out in nature etc. The importance of getting enough sleep was also discussed. I especially like the suggestion of no electronics before bed. I highly recommend this book.

Everyone Needs Mental Health

Today it's tougher for teens to be mentally healthy. Social media, and the additional pressures associated with how we have evolved over the decades, means they have it much tougher than their parents did, and mental health is something everyone should work on every day. But adults don't realize what their teens are going through, and even if they aren't sharing with the parents their anxieties, they likely have some.

So, I believe every parent of teenagers should get this book. Much easier to address things before they become issues, than having years of anxiety and having to deal with them as an adult. Not to mention, we're talking about committing to 7 days with this book. Although I suspect it will be called upon often thereafter. Well done!

A great help for depressed teens

Are you trying to manage and calm your anxiety with tried-and-true methods?

Are you sick of battling strong emotions that are ruining your life?

Or perhaps you work with teenagers and are seeking for a book, appealing resource to assist your adolescent clients in dealing with their anxiety? Then, this is the best book to listen to.

For any teen struggling with anxiety, 7 Days of Anxiety Relief for Teens is a helpful, well-researched resource. I read it as a parent with two school-age kids in mind—one starting their second year of high school and the other their first year of junior high—and I underlined many of the advice pieces, especially the mind-body connection, which strikes me as doubly significant the more time teens spend in their "virtual" worlds. I'll keep a copy of this book on hand for myself and our teenagers to refer to all during the academic year.

Great advice for every parent of teens

I wish I had this guide when my kids were teens. The seven-day plan was both a mixture of common sense and creative tactics. Implementing this guide will not only be helpful for teens. Still, it will also be beneficial for parents - both in empathizing and understanding their teens better and because the same tactics can be implemented by parents who may share anxiety disorders. Highly recommend!

Helpful and practical

This book is great if you can get your teen to give it a listen, in that way I would definitely recommend the audiobook version as it may be easier to get them onboard. Teens find it difficult to talk to adults so this book can help them recognize what triggers their anxiety and try to be proactive before things get to be too much to handle. The tips can help anyone beyond teens and the audio is clear, easy to understand and the information is broken down and easy to follow.

Extremely helpful

I got this book to get information and tips to help my teenage daughter. I think she may have anxiety issues. She won't see a therapist so I thought I would begin with some self help remedies.

This book has everything you need as a beginner. The author discusses, how to find out what the trigger/issue is then acknowledge it. You can't deal with something if you don't acknowledge it exists. Looking at what's making you feel and think the way you do then challenging these thoughts and much more!!

This book has been written in a way which easy enough for teens to understand and follow.
