Pretty Basic

I hate writing lower rated reviews because I know how much work goes into a book. This book would be great if I’d never bought any self-help books before, but I’m fairly well-read on the subject.

There’s nothing novel or “kick ass” about Owen’s suggestions. I also have no idea if there’s even 52, but maybe that’s just because of the audio version. I was disappointed because I thought this would have more of a weekly plan since there’s “52 ways.”

I also wasn’t thrilled Owen didn’t read it herself. I find books with professional narrators lack the spunk the author has. I don’t like narrators unless it’s very hard to understand the author, or the author is a terrible reader.

Overall, this is a light self-help read for anyone new to the genre. Otherwise, I’d use your credits on a different title.

Decent

Good points to the book but it could all be summed up in a hour or so. Very monotone narrator, just raises voice when she cusses or says the same thing again. All about self worth and going outside of your comfort zone etc..

not crazy about the narration

I dis enjoy her other book better, how to stop feeling like sh*t, but this one was still awesome and had a lot of.content that I really needed to hear and learn from. I didnt like the narration much. andrea should have narrated it herself.

Why is she reading so slow?

The premise of the book was great, however the narrator was difficult to listen to. It seemed as if she was dragging her words and over exaggerating them so much. That was the worst part. I typically will listen to books more than once. This one, I will not repeat. I wish I would have just purchase the actual physical book and read it myself because the narration was that difficult to listen to.
