Fa poc vaig salvar la vida a un paio. Dit així, ja sé que sona una mica fort. Però és la veritat. De vegades la veritat és forta. El paio a qui vaig salvar la vida té dos anys més que jo i em cau molt malament. Ben mirat, potser des que li va passar allò em cau una mica millor, però només una mica. De fet no ho sé. No seria el seu amic per res del món. Segur que us esteu preguntant què va passar, què vaig fer. Potser m'imagineu com un heroi. Algú que va pel món salvant vides o salvant mons. Que du una capa i una "S" llampant a la samarreta. No us ratlleu.

Soc un paio com tots, però una mica més estrany. Em penso que si no fos estrany, les coses haurien estat diferents. D'aquella matinada gairebé no en tinc records clars. Tot va ser cosa de tres o quatre segons. Gairebé no vaig tenir temps ni de pensar, però si de formular-me una pregunta horrorosa: "I si no faig res?".
