    Born and raised in the City, San Francisco mayor and 49ers fan Daniel Lurie stops by Radio Row to chat with Matt Maiocco about his work bringing Super Bowl LX to the Bay Area and how it's being received by the outside world. Lurie reveals a clandestine meeting of 49ers legends, who gathered to celebrate Roger Craig's impending election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on 'Roger Craig Day' in the city. Hall of Fame running back and NFL legend Barry Sanders also stopped by the NBC Sports Bay Area set to congratulate Craig's Hall of Fame election. In addition, the voice of the 49ers, Greg Papa, shared his relief in seeing an iconic 49ers player receive Hall of Fame validation. Maiocco then sits down with two football heavyweights in Senior NFL Films producer Greg Cosell and NBC Sports' "Pro Football Talk" host Mike Florio to break down San Francisco's remarkable season and identify keys to the 49ers' success going forward.

  • Robert Irwin reveals 49ers-Rams as NFL's first Aussie stop on Day 4 at Super Bowl Radio Row

    Australian conservationist and television personality Robert Irwin broke the news that the 49ers and Rams will play in the NFL's first Australia game next season at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Irwin joined "49ers Talk" host Matt Maiocco, with a python in tow, to discuss what NFL fans can expect from the first game down under. Local legends, Giants broadcaster Dave Flemming and 49ers Hall of Fame linebacker Patrick Willis, followed to offer their views on San Francisco's offensive line and linebacking corps, respectively. Willis also shared what motivated him to make it to the NFL, while Flemming offered insight into his first impression of Heisman Trophy winner and College National Champion Fernando Mendoza. Matt then checked in with the NFL's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Allen Sills, to get to the bottom of the 49ers' injury concerns. Finally, 49ers Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice stopped by to share how he grew out of his shell in the NFL and discusses what type of wideout the Red and Gold need to acquire for next season.

    Star running back Christian McCaffrey joined "49ers Talk" host Matt Maiocco on Day 3 of Super Bowl Radio Row at Moscone Center to share his pride in receiving the NFL's 15th annual Salute to Service Award and offer his support to Hall of Fame candidate Roger Craig. Next up was another 49ers legend, Terrell Owens, who stopped by to relive his iconic Sharpie celebration and offer his critique on the Hall of Fame selection process. San Francisco rookie CJ West popped in to discuss areas he can improve in his sophomore season, and former wily quarterback for the Red and Gold, Jeff Garica, shared how he believes current starter Brock Purdy's "underdog" mentality keeps him competitive. Finally, former defensive back Logan Ryan details what traits Upton Stout possesses to be the 49ers' next great nickel corner.
