Most excellent!

This is another extremely excellent compilation of Skip Heitzig’s sermons! As Christians, it truly is our responsibility not only to understand Scripture but to really know it, to be able to recall specific stories, passages, and verses in order to correctly defend our faith. I admit that I am still working on memorizing the Word, and in this set of sermons, like in most all his teachings, he really digs into what Luke is conveying: that Jesus is God.
I mean, just see how Luke carefully presents the details—his precision, his eyewitness-style accounts, and the way he connects prophecy to fulfillment all point to the divine nature of Christ. Skip does a great job of slowing those moments down and helping the reader see what might otherwise be missed. He brings historical context, cultural insight, and clear application, making the message both understandable and deeply impactful.
Another key point I liked is how these teachings don’t just inform they challenge. They encourage you to grow, to study more intentionally, and to live out what you’re learning. There’s a strong emphasis on not being passive in your faith but actively engaging with Scripture and allowing it to shape your life.
Overall, this is a powerful and enriching study. Whether you’re new to the book of Luke or have read it many times, this compilation will deepen your understanding and strengthen your confidence in who Jesus is and why that truth matters.
