Publisher's Summary

Look for ways to touch the soul.

Remember what coaching's really about. It's about looking for ways to touch the soul, and having someone's life change.

Coaching simply can't be sold like other things are sold. And that turns out to be good news. Once you begin practicing true connection, you become successful.

In 37 Ways to Boost Your Coaching Practice, Steve Chandler shows just what steps to take - and the 17 lies to avoid - to give your prospective clients a powerful experience of the work you do. Learn to fill your practice by moving beyond coaching-as-a-concept. Creating clients happens one coaching conversation at a time, one true connection at a time.

Difficult to listen to

Voice-over artist is so over-dramatic , difficult to listen to. Couldn’t get through it.

Great Resource for Coaches

Steve Chandler is recognized as one of the "greats" in the coaching world and this book is filled with wonderful advice as well as guidance that is especially appropriate for new coaches. I wish there was a short PDF of the 37 Ways however because when you are listening to an audio book (while commuting or on a walk for instance), its really hard to write down all of the wonderful advice you are getting. Some of lies seemed to me to be common sense but I know that common sense isn't always common practice and therefore it's good to put that out there. A great resource no matter what! Well worth the listen (and re-listen too)!

Must Read!

Though have been taking the necessary steps to launching my Integrative Health Coaching Business I was admittedly dragging my feet out of fear and negative self-talk. After listening to this book numerous times I am more than ready to take that leap and bet it all on “ME”!

So grateful I came across this hidden gem. Is definitely one I will continue to use for encouragement and motivation.

Theory

All theory, smoke and mirrors and little practical advise. I would not recommend to anyone but new comets to coaching.

The reading was bad but the content was okay. I struggled to finish it, but I did because I wanted to get more. then it just ended.

This book made me a better person

This book has helped me address my blindspots super effectively. It's not just for coaches but for really anyone alive, specially the 17 lies. Chandler is brilliantly succinct and straight to the point, which triggered powerful ah-ha moments in me. Thank you, Steve.

Waste of time and money

Has this person been a coach? I am an executive coach and this person talks about giving advice - coaches don’t advise! The book talks about “mailing a cheque” to confirm a booking - who “mails cheques” in 2019?! They suggest in the first part of the book, not to give freebies and later suggest “make sure you’re always coaching; prospects on a free trial basis” completely contradictory advice. If you want to improve your coaching practice - ditch this book and get a coach!

Low on content

Book it a bit low on content/insight and there are short chapters on thoughts.
