Publisher's Summary

We live in a Facebook world today. Everyone is trying to look like they are living the good life but most people are miserable. Most people are poor. Most people feel broken and most people feel empty.

If you feel like you’re currently weak-willed, fret not.

To be stoic takes practice, commitment, and the burning desire to want to achieve more from your life. More happiness, more success, more money, more health, more meaningful relationships, and more fulfillment.

In a modern world of instant gratification, ancient wisdom of stoicism is becoming exceedingly rare but important.

In 365 Stoicism Quotes, you’ll be exposed to the 365 quotes said, written, and lived by some of the greatest stoicism teachers. These quotes are not meant for the weak-willed or the average. It is intended for the hungry few who have the burning desire and the rooted commitment to achieve more in the limited physical being they have in this world we call Earth.

inspiring

I'm not usually one for daily listenings - like other resolutions, I stop within a short time and go back to 'normal'. However, I am starting my third year listening these daily thoughts and I find that they are making a difference. I am recognizing places where I used to make myself sick ,or at least upset, by my thoughts and actions.

The Freedom of Acceptance.

I am enjoying this book quite a bit more than I expected to. Each day after my morning meditation I like to sit and listen the day’s passage. If you are looking for some deep lengthy meditation this is not for you. If you are looking for bite sized thought provoking passages to help you see things a little differently... this is great.

Change your life with this book

A nice lesson in stoicism daily delivered. I have a steno notebook and I do the listening and reflect some thoughts for each day. It is not time consuming, about 5 minutes a day. With the steno journal I have a record to reflect on after the year is out.

Great daily practice

I found this useful to listen after meditating in the morning. The snippets are short enough to listen in a few minutes but profound enough to ponder all day. Grouping them by topic / subject or theme I also found helpful

Quotes of Stoicism.

I have always been interested in Stoicism quotes in general and this book has a surplus of amazing faces in history contributing to that. I would recommend for any one looking to touch up on the topic or out of mere interest.

I love this book

I'm not usually one for daily listenings - like other resolutions, I stop within a short time and go back to 'normal'. However, I am starting my third year listening these daily thoughts and I find that they are making a difference. I am recognizing places where I used to make myself sick ,or at least upset, by my thoughts and actions. With the wisdom of this book, I am learning to get out of my own way and move forward, to stop obsessing over things I can't change, to let go of false beliefs and ideas. I recommend The Daily Stoic highly.

The best part of my morning routine

This book has been an absolute gamechanger for my morning routine. Each page is associated with one day of the year.Xabier does an incredible job distilling ancient Stoic principals into easy to understand, modern language. I look forward to listening what that morning's thoughts are going to be, and honest to goodness it's made me a morning person. Perspective is greatly needed in the world today, and this book gives you just that.

Part of My Daily Routine

For a person that likes to take action into better reasoning for making decisions in every aspect of life, this is a great book. It not only introduces you into the Stoic philosophy, but better yet invites you to use the thinking of some of the best thinkers of all time. Interesting how, in different words, the Stoics converge precisely with the best Buddhist minds.

I found this book.

Listening one entry a day is now part of my nightly listening after I finish evening chores and before I go to sleep. It helps me wind down and focus on what's important and what's in my control, allowing me to let go of noise and distractions from the day, I am so glad that I found this book.

Thought provoking & uplifting

I am enjoying this book quite a bit more than I expected to. Each day after my morning meditation I like to sit and listen the day’s passage. If you are looking for some deep lengthy meditation this is not for you. This is great. I look forward to each section, and I can see myself following this for another year. This book has also inspired me to seek out more writings of The philosopher’s quoted. I recommend it highly.

Awesome book. Easy to listen. The Stoicism were ahead of their time on self-help and Mr. Xabier K. Fernao in on why. Like any daily book.

Like any daily book, this one is best enjoyed one day at a time. There's enough to chew on each day to make it worth it, though if you aren't at least somewhat familiar with Stoicism it might come across as fragmented.

Great book

Great book, I got to it for my husband and then I started listening it too! The daily listenings are set out by date, so you would start with the listening for the date you received the book. It does not follow one after the other--each day is a stand alone philosophies, teachings and disciplines for a stronger mind for the day. Very good material that most people can relate to.

Excellent Basis For Thought

Excellent! some quotes-a-day, with each day denoted for the day of the year .I'm exercising discipline to refrain from "listening ahead." It's enough, and more than enough, to listen one half-page-or-so thought, and then reflect on that as I go through my day. I'm thinkin' I might use some of the margin spaces to add my own initial reaction... Very Well Worth the Price!

We control only our reactions

We control only our reactions to our circumstances, not the circumstances themselves. This is a daily listenings book, but I listen it like a book with chapters. Guide for those who wish to make reasoned choices, versus reacting blindly to the world. I learned that a Stoic is a thinker, a rational person, and also has emotions that are recognized and felt in appropriate level. Go with the flow.
