Publisher's summary

Dear Listener, One thing about Cedar Cove - people sure are interested in what other people are doing. Take me, for instance. Everybody in the town knows that my husband, Zach, and I recently got a divorce. Everybody also knows that Judge Olivia Lockhart decreed a pretty unusual custody arrangement. It won't be the kids moving between my place and Zach's. We're the ones who'll be going back and forth! Olivia isn't immune to gossip herself. Will she stay with Jack, the guy who runs our local paper, or will she get back with her ex? Inquiring minds want to know. But the really big gossip has to do with the dead guy - the man who died at a local bed-and-breakfast. Who is he and why did he show up there in the middle of the night? Roy McAfee, our local private investigator, is absolutely determined to find out. I hope he does - and then I'll let you know! See you soon. --Rosie Cox, 311 Pelican Court, Cedar Cove, Washington

Good characters, predictable plot

It's nice to have a novel where not everyone is young and beautiful. Characters are well rounded and believable. Storyline is quite predictable but I'll take good character development over inventive storyline. Narrator is ok but rather stiff and formal sounding.

Calm Commuting

I love listening to these Debbie Macomber books while commuting. It's an entertaining and calming series to pass the time while stuck in traffic and coping with the "bad" drivers. I look forward to my commutes now because I'm invested in her characters and want to know what happens next.

Sweet Clean Soap Opera Continues . . .

This third in the Cedar Cove Series is good easy listening. It's not an edge-of-your-seat thriller, but then again, it's not meant to be. It's a sit-at-the-kitchen-table and sip-your-coffee-slowly book. I can cook supper while listening, or sew and not miss much. The townsfolk grow on you. And you root for the ones you have grown to love. You get aggravated at the dumb choices they make and are happy when they get their heads back on straight. I don't like a strict "diet" of Cedar Cove, but I sure will keep coming back for more!

Idyllic Life

It is easy listening. Having listened to the series from Book 1, one becomes involved with the characters and one is encouraged to keep listening to find out what happens later in their lives.

A page turner

ABSOLUTELY love how the judge made her ruling, I think this is really how it always should be. Don't make the kids go back n forth if the parents can't live together. Kudos Debbie for really bringing a possibility of compromise to light. Exceptional.

Good series

Where does 311 Pelican Court rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Enjoyed mixing up reading the books with the audiobooks in this long series. Really feels like you know the characters as the series goes on. Well done.
