I was so looking forward to listening to this anthology. Unfortunately it is very hard to listen to. Had to abort and purchase the stories elsewhere.

Poor quality recordings and horrible narration

One thing about this book, there are no titles to the chapters so you have different authors different stories but it's really hard to tell where you're at or what you're reading. So what I did was. I realized that most of the introductions were in small chapters like 1 min or whatever, so that's where the book starts and another book ends. That's the only way I could keep track of what I was reading and I found that to be very annoying. One the stories is The Murders in the Rue Morgue by Edgar Allan Poe, one of my favorite authors. It is a classic epic crime story and if I'm not mistaken, I think it was the first actual murder mystery ever written, The notes from the underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky is a really deep book. However they shortened it and said that they're not going to read the rest of the book here because it might offend younger readers it might be better left off. Well No. No! Absolutely not! So I would recommend reading Notes from the Underground but I would get the book separately. It's a small book it's a small story but it's worth it to read it to the end and see what happens to everyone. The rest of the stories were just okay. Most of them I had never heard of, which is surprising, because I've taken a lot of literature courses in my college career and in high school. And so I was really surprised to see that not very many of them were known to me. So you could do worse but you could probably find better too if you're interested in short stories.

Could have been better
