Skip this one...

I love APOC fiction, the good, the not so good, but I can't stand the terrible/boring stories.

The narration is good. The story is not. No character development, no side stories/tangents, just bare bones apocalyptic fiction. I'm actually amazed that there was so little content but still somehow lasted 7 hours.

Cliffnotes: I am a Recon Marine, the Nukes fall, I'm ready, so is my father (who happened to have a sweet setup in Montana). We kill the (under developed storyline) baddies. The end. Terrible. Boring. Super Terrible. Super Boring.

The author also definitely has some conflicting/waffling 2A messaging throughout the story as well if that is something you care about. Boomsticks for me, but not for thee.

Just skip this one. You'll be mad if you don't and end up having to argue with Audible about a return or spending 5 minutes of your life writing an angry review after deciding not to heed free advice.
