■「第2話 董卓の専横」あらすじ
黄巾賊の乱が収まったのち、漢の都・洛陽では宮中に異変が起こり、その混乱に乗じて董卓が権勢を握っていた。
彼は横暴の限りを作り、己の気に入らぬものは排除し、民に圧政を強いていた。
その董卓の圧政に対して曹操が反旗を翻し、袁紹を総大将として義軍が立ちあがった。
義軍の先鋒として、江東の虎とよばれた孫堅があたったが、軍内の不和から敗退を喫する。
虎牢関の戦いでは、呂布が猛攻を仕掛け義軍を押しこんでいたが、これを劉備、関羽、張飛の三人がかりで防ぎ、ついに撤退に追い込んだ。
呂布撤退後、勢いに乗った義軍は追撃をかけ、大勝をおさめる。
董卓は自軍の劣勢に意気消沈し、懐刀の李儒に対応を相談する。
李儒が董卓に授けた策は、世間をあっと言わせるものであった。
李儒の言う通り、董卓は長安への遷都を決め、漢の都・洛陽を焼き払ったのである。
長安へ遷都した後も、董卓は権勢を握り、専横な振る舞いを続けた。
民衆の怨嗟の声を聞き、司徒王允は、朝廷の危うさを嘆いていた。
彼の養女、貂蝉はそんな義父の様子を悲しみ、何か役に立てないかと問う。
彼女の覚悟を聞いた王允は、ある計画を実行に移すのであった。
