講談の歴史は500年とも1000年とも言われております。人間が言葉を使い始めた頃から生まれたといっても過言ではないかもしれません。講談に江戸時代や戦国時代をありありとよみがえらせる力があるならば、昭和の時代が語られてもよいのではという思いから演じたのが、この競走馬物語~ハイセイコー。演じる神田陽司(かんだ ようじ)は兵庫県尼崎市出身。早稲田大学卒業後、シティーロード入社、副編集長を経て退社。二代目神田山陽に入門。山陽の弟子として、自由闊達な講談を学ぶ。レポート講談や新作の講談も数多く発表している。時は昭和48年。戦後のニッポンの形がやっと整った時代。経済成長も最高潮!しかし、オイルショックが起こると、人々がトイレットペーパーの買い占めに殺到することになり、不安がわきおこり始めたあの時代。競馬界に彗星のごとくあらわれたヒーロー、それがハイセイコーでし た。その華麗なる走りは日本中で大ブームとなりました。これは、そんな時代のある庶民のお話……。(C)WING ENTERPRISE（C)WING ENTERPRISE Performing Arts
