Great story and narration

The narrator, Craig Wasson, did a great job as usual. And while most Steven King books tend to drag on and on, this one was tight and kept a good pace. Solid story, solid narration, great book. AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY

Good story; bad narration

What would have made 1922 better?

The story is vintage Stephen King; he's always been one of my favorites. However, the narration is making it very difficult for me to listen to the book. I may opt out, and read it in regular book form instead. It is VERY important to have a good narrator who can translate and perform the story as intended, but this actor puts emphasis on the wrong words, and often speaks in a horrible, whiny sing-song voice, mostly when he is imitating how he thinks a character should sound when speaking. Listening to him do the wife's voice is almost unbearable. I don't think I can listen to it any longer.

Would you be willing to try another book from Stephen King? Why or why not?

Yes, he is pretty much my favorite author.

Would you be willing to try another one of Craig Wasson’s performances?

Nope. Sorry.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Yes - good, vintage Stephen King thriller.

King writes again ....

This is the most enjoyable story from King for quite a while - at least, for me. I’ve always been a fan of King’s horror, and have felt as though he’s been - what? Avoiding horror lately?

I understand why, as a writer, King would go nuts if he couldn’t get his non-horror yayas out. But those of us who find his horror fantastic, we need a good old creep-show dose of horror to make us happy - this one pegged the creepy-meter! Thanks!

Couldn't stop

Craig's performance kept me listening. Fan of Stephen King. I couldn't out but down and when I had to its all I thought about. Makes you think about your own skeletons in the closet and how you think your plan may work out but not the consequences of the insanity.

A great listen

After finishing listening to "11-22-63", I looked for another Stephen King audio book and came across this one. I purchased it, using one of my credits, before I realized that I already owned it. It is included as part of the collection in "Full Dark No Stars ". I returned it for a refund of my credit but wanted to rate it anyway. I like Craig Wasson's style, and enjoyed this particular selection. As with most of the things written by this author, it is well worth the time.

Stephen King at his best

Loved the story, and the narration was excellent!
Stephen King through and through. I thought I wouldn't like it because it was set back in time a ways, but that did not color the story in a negative way at all. Love stories without the predictable happy ending.

Similar to a Greek tragedyI-King style

I liked it.
The story has a lot of irony throughout.
Modern day version of a Greek tragedy
Pretty good narration.
Overall I found it entertaining.
