Was good

The story was good, but by the last two books I was ready for it to be over. I liked the characters and storyline but there were times things seemed unnecessary. Final battles were anti climactic, fast and easy. Part of me doesn't mind that, as I liked following their day to day. But I'm glad it ends here, good stopping point. I wouldn't mind revisiting the characters.

Exceptional

Fantastic story , extremely well written. Narration was perfectly done. Looking forward to more from Mr. Rothman.

Fun but disappointed

Good story but I’ve spent to much time with the mechanics of how the magic worked and less on the lore or other characters I didn’t like the lack of the roles of the females in this book. But I did enjoy the story overall

Epic Fantasy

The four books will provide a reader/listener with a fantastic fantasy that throws a curve into the first book that has you scratching your head until you realize this is a big story.

The humor was well placed to help slow down the tension building action. I find it hard to write stories with excellent timing of humor, yet Rothman has figured out the magic of being able to time it just right.

I hope, if you choose these books, that you will get and many laughs and a high level of enjoyment out of them as I did.

Couldn't stop it. I was caught up in the story.

I really liked the way all the people came together to defeat the common enemy.

Very good story

Both my husband and myself really enjoyed this story. It has so many different parts to it. Good vs evil, good heroes, magic, dragons, and even a love story. Was so interesting didn’t want it to end. All four books are great. It was great entertainment on a trip together.

The story was awesome.

I liked everything about it, the melding of events and characters was great. I have listened to the books multiple times already.

I didn’t expect to enjoy these four books - WHAT A RIDE!

Well done saga M.A. Rothman. I’m sad that the tale is over. I enjoyed getting to know the main characters and was rooting for them all as they developed their skills and found their way.
Even the less likable characters were fleshed out and well woven into thoroughly interesting representations of evil.

If you enjoy a good story with lots of characters and believable plots - with a little nerdy science thrown in - have a listen.

Female characters aren’t wilting violets! They have some pretty cool skills. Hooray!

Tim Campbell, I BOW in your general direction. How you managed to juggle such a massive cast of characters and creatures, and keep them all distinctive and male or female is beyond me. The elves were a bit stilted, but again; they were written as stiff backed and serious. Fantastic narration!!! I would happily listen to Tim’s amazing narrative skills in other books.

The first two books are a free listen on Audible as a publishers set. I’m glad I spent the credit for this set to find out where the journey took my friends. Love the Ogres. Love those crazy dwarfs.

entertaining as a series, but it did drag on a little bit too long.
