Literary Whiplash

This book has more neck snapping twists and turns than I could’ve possibly expected.

Yass!!! Enjoyed It A Suspenseful & Intense Listen

This story kept me tuned into Journey with all the twist, turns and surprises that make you root for her character to finally get what's been missing in her life. But her sinister side takes over and gets in her way. Overall a great listen and story... Suspenseful Steamy Funny! I rated a 4 out 5 because Ty's narration perfomance could have used some supernatural powers of its own.

This was wild!!!

I really enjoyed the story! K Bernard is funny. The plot twist was whaaaaatttttttt?!?! I want ready!

Eerie

This book was off to a slow start but did get better as it moved along. Journey was a trip as you will discover as you listen. It was hard to stop listening.

Crazy Child

I like the idea of mind control and the fact that one was crazy, she didn’t the fact that she was crazy was interesting. Her Mom had no control over her at all. The author did a great job. The male narrator wasn’t that good!

It will keep you guessing

I really enjoyed this more than I thought I would. It has you second guessing some aspects of this book, but I am so ready for part two to see how things end.

The tricks the mind plays

Simone put this story together well. The read caught me by surprise. I definitely enjoyed it... At times, I was baffled by how nutty Journey really was. I'm eager to see how she gets her revenge in part two. Prepare to be entertained, aroused, and shocked.

Wanted more!

Loved it! Couldn't stop listening. I can't wait for part 2. Journey was a Journey!

Well, Damn!!

This was so good. If you ever had a friend or family member that is extra I promise you they don’t have nothing on Journey. Papa is the man! I am excited to listen to what mayhem Journey brings in her revenge.

Good Plot

While I do not give anything away, please note this may overlap into the category of a spoiler alert, so avoid reading my comment and chapter if that will bother you.
The overall plot was strong and engaging, but the pacing felt a bit rushed. This story could have easily expanded by another two or three hours to allow for deeper character development and more organic twists and turns. There was a missed opportunity to turn a good story into a great one.

That said, I truly appreciated the spiritual aspect, especially the exploration of gifts that extend beyond the natural. It raises thought provoking questions about how people choose to use those gifts, for good or for harm. Journey’s experience was a powerful reminder of how manipulation and abuse of power can lead to downfall.

Overall, it was a good read that left me wanting more, and I look forward to seeing how the author grows in future works.
