Lesley Williams is a member of the coordinating committee for the Jewish Voice for Peace in Chicago, and a founding member of Tzedek Chicago, a non-Zionist, pro social justice synagogue in Chicago. Lesley has twice visited the West Bank with the Center for Jewish Nonviolence for solidarity work and resistance with Palestinian and Israeli peace activists. She has also spoken on Islamophobia, antisemitism, and Zionism at the American Studies Association conference, the MAS-ICNA conference, and the American Muslims for Palestine conference. We initially connected through the ClubHouse app, and spent the podcast discussing the US education system, lobbying groups, zionist definitions, critical race theory, antisemitism, and much more in this mildly meandering chat! This was a prerecorded episode.
