It is a symbol of personal strength and belief, and is certainly a signal of empathy.
Researchers have a keen interest in empathy, but only a few studies ever concentrated on an empath’s life. According to science, many believe empaths have hyperresponsive mirror neurons. These are brain cells responsible for the feelings of compassion. Once these mirror neurons are hyperactive, you become hypersensitive to the electromagnetic fields of the brain and heart. This is perhaps one reason why you are intuitive and deeply feel others’ emotions.

So very helpful
I knew I was an Empath, but didn't realize the extreme extent of all of the different types one could be blessed with at all! I am a bit overwhelmed to have learned I am a highly sensitive empath, with so many traits that it will take me some time to assimilate it all.
