Publisher's summary

The latest installment in the Body Movers series!

Carlotta Wren's life is entering new territory - a new career path, a new direction in her love life, and possibly new family members to uncover. A big part of moving on, though, means leaving people and other pieces of her past behind...which might be harder than she realized. Especially when moving forward means walking through a minefield of mysterious discoveries about the people she loves, the the people she wants not to love.

If you're looking for laugh-out-loud books, check out the body Movers series! To-date, titles in the series include:

  • Party Crashers (Prequel)
  • Body Movers
  • 2 Bodies for the Price of 1
  • 3 Men and a Body
  • 4 Bodies and a Funeral
  • 5 Bodies to Die For
  • 6 Killer Bodies
  • 6 ½ Body Parts (Novella)
  • 7 Brides for 7 Bodies
  • 8 Bodies Is Enough
  • 9 Bodies Rolling
  • 10 Bodies Lying
  • 11 Bodies Moving On

Q: Do I have to listen to the Body Movers audiobooks in order?

A: It's best to listen to the first audiobook Body Movers before two, three, four, etc. But Party Crashers stands alone as a mystery. Carlotta Wren is a secondary character in that audiobook, so you can circle back to listening to Party Crashers later (and see Carlotta before she was scared straight!).

Entertaining, but predictable

Like most series, you see a pattern to the writing. Still entertaining to listen to.

Stephanie Bond 11 Bodies Moving On

I like series even if they are predictable. This adds to the ones before and is good entertainment. The reader doesn’t do a great job with different characters. The person before made Coop sound sexy and strong this narrator makes him sound like an old feeble man. Kind of cringed at all the voices. Anyway I made it through. Like a said good entertainment except the explicit bedroom scene was unneeded. I fast forwarded.

Narration is poor

I find the Body Movers series very entertaining although I'm not sure what happened to the narrator. I looked back in my library and Maureen Jones has narrated all but Party Crashers in this series but mid way through she changed the way she was narrating. Hannah is suddenly a "valley girl", Coop sounds like an old man and Jack sounds like a heavy heavy smoker! I like the story but when those characters parts are read, I literally cringe!

not enough

I felt cheated. The story was rushed. It lacked the interpersonal detail that makes the characters so fun and no mystery to speak of. The last couple of Body Movers books have been that way. I don't know if I'll buy the next one.

Critic

These story lines are good, but I can’t bring myself to like the shallow, materialistic Carlotta very much. The awful language is entirely unnecessary, too. Carlotta does seem to be improving a little in that she’s not name-dropping fashion brands so much.
