    Steven Laux joined UF in January 2017 after a 32-year career as a civil engineer including VP of Jones Edmunds, practicing in the fields of solid waste management system design and infrastructure design for the aerospace industry. He teaches courses in solid waste systems design, containment system design, civil engineering practice and construction engineering design. He works on the Sustainable Materials Management Research Laboratory led by Dr. Timothy Townsend. His research has focused on sustainable materials management, including beneficial reuse, recycling, and municipal solid waste landfill topics.
