Publisher's summary

Love is a reflex - it is what we do. An eclectic collection of poems and thoughts from Amy, a 30-something submissive. Amy's journey started when she met her first dominant gentleman about five years ago. She submitted to him, obeyed him, and loved him. In return, he made her whole body tingle when he told her that she was a "Good Girl". He looked after her spiritual and sexual needs, cared for her well-being and allowed her to be free from her daily life. He would text her and mail her, just at the right times when she craved his contact. She reciprocated by gifting him her greatest possession - her submission. She felt safe with him and completely energized during their BDSM play.

In the moments when she could not be at his side, she allowed her mind to think about him-her-them and this enabled her to script her innermost thoughts, which she now shares with us. Her writing reflects her moods and her journey into submission starting with "I Dare You" and ending with the words "I am a Submissive".

Amy is a normal heterosexual young woman who has found contentment in her life through her engagement in the exciting world of BDSM, which is not an act - it is a habit which does nothing more than enhance her life. Then she met Martin and her journey began. She had forgotten how to feel happy. Very gently and unobtrusively, he seduced her into the ways of a submissive who cares for her dominant. Amy's poems are a true reflection of her feelings from the start to the position she finds herself in her journey, now. Amy has entered a world of extremes. This place that she wants admission to. It is a place of power flowing between people through touches and looks, protocols and rules, love and sex. There are dangerous things in there but there are also good people and he became the best and most loyal and loving companion she will ever know. She often took a moment to think, "What have I done to deserve this brilliant life?"

Wonderfully Narrated and Inspiring...

Which character – as performed by lyric – was your favorite?

Each poem was expressively and uniquely felt...totally love the narrator's voice and choices of accentuating through the entire book...

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

All of the poems speak deeply to the core of what a woman should be and feel, and lyric's ability to narrate, to reach through the distance igniting each and every word, poem with such intensity is truly touching and beautiful...

Any additional comments?

I attempted to listen through the Audible website Cloud Player, and it was cutting out rather badly, could not hear any of the reading at all. However, I downloaded the Audible Manager, and it worked fine, and also listened through the Audible app for my iPhone. Anyone having trouble with the online Cloud Player may want to try other options for listening. Definitely worth attempting...

Doesn't work.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

It seemed liked it might be good, but the only think I could play was the sample.

What was most disappointing about Amy Shaw’s story?

Could not play this on my computer or with echo. Digital skip. May work on other devices, but not mine.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I thought she added to the book, sadly I could not listen to it.

Any additional comments?

I hope who ever posted this, will fix the fie so it runs on my echo, and computer.
