Publisher's summary

The business of book marketing has changed! The traditional rules longer apply, and a new era of marketing books is upon us - an approach in which authors are authentically engaging their audiences. But where do you start?

Today's mega-success authors are not only writers but entrepreneurs who expertly work a strategy that leverages the power of social media, search engine optimization, advertising, speaking, bookstore signings, and a combination of other programs that are incredibly rewarding to the author.

Every author wants a road map or step-by-step guide for a successful book launch. To book marketing professionals in large publishing houses, this is the holy grail, so they can repeat the success of their last launch campaign.

With this system, you will no longer have the guesswork associated with choosing which marketing programs to run for a successful launch. Bryan Heathman has managed hundreds of book marketing campaigns and created a repeatable 15-week system to promote nonfiction books.

Bryan's approach to book marketing was inspired by running massively successful campaigns that have resulted in New York Times best sellers, Wall Street Journal best sellers, and Amazon number-one best sellers for famous authors, including professional speaker Chris Widener, America's number-one sales trainer Tom Hopkins, US Olympian Johnny Quinn, and three-time World Series champion Todd Stottlemyre.

Unlike other works, which list a hundred things to do when marketing a book, this approach is distilled into a manageable 15-week burst of activity - individual actions that, when done in a scheduled time frame, are proven to produce the results you desire for your book launch.

No fluff, all good stuff.

Nothing but meat. Fairly short, sweet tactical stuff. A great book marketing book, highly recommended.

Full of information for new authors.

This audiobook is jam packed with information for new authors like myself. It was short, to the point and full of practical steps for the do it yourself-ers and those looking for publishing help.

The narration could have been better but it was not too distracting for the information presented.

Overall it was a good read (listen). I'm considering ordering the book itself.

Good info-poor reader

But hard to listen to the reader-reads too fast while slurring or stumbling over words. Slow down play to 0.9 but it emphasizes the stumbling delivery.

Very Good

I found this book very concise and to the point. A very educational introduction to modern book marketing, all told in just two hours, completely demystifying the world of book marketing. Making a list of action items and checklist is essential. It would be great if the author provided a downloadable template or checklist. On the other hand, it’s good to do this manually because sometimes there is no, “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to book marketing. By that I mean, each book has its niche, and every niche has its own characteristics and dynamics. Regardless, this book, “#1 Best Seller” is a valuable asset for any author.

Pretty straightforward, but the audio needs work

The information listed here is pretty cohesive, and I like that it’s step-by-step. The only part that was really interrupting was that the narrator had like no heart inside the narration so he read it like he was a robot, and it was really fast, and they were practically no pauses. Difficult to digest at times.

Horrible Performance

Constant background noise. Reader sounded bored and in a rush to finish. It’s a shame because the content was good

Painful to Listen to

Narration is way too fast and I honestly don't know how it passed with all the background noise. The information is pretty basic and the usage of second person voice gets very annoying. A few useful Goodreads tips that are hopefully not outdated.
