内容紹介
ある春の日の夕方。
少年探偵団の一人・泰二少年が不気味な老人を目撃する。
導かれるように後をつけると、ある屋敷で蛭田博士と出会い、そこで不思議な体験をする。
その晩、泰二少年は父親の大事な書類を持って行方不明になってしまった。 泰二少年を助けるため少年探偵団の仲間が立ち上がるが、全員行方不明となってしまう。
頭を抱える泰二少年の父親は明智探偵を頼ることに。
だがそこへもう一人の探偵・殿村探偵が現れた。
探偵対決を申し込み三日で事件を解決するという殿村探偵。
だが、明智探偵は事務所にこもりきりで姿を現そうとしない。
明智探偵は対決を諦めたのだろうか?
そして少年探偵団のピンチに団長の小林少年はどこへ姿をくらませてしまったのか?
果たして対決の行方は如何に!?

江戸川乱歩(えどがわ・らんぽ)
日本の推理小説家。1894年10月21日生まれ、三重県生まれ。筆名は、19世紀の米国の小説家エドガー・アラン・ポーに由来する。数々の職業遍歴を経て作家デビューを果たす。本格的な推理小説と並行して『怪人二十面相』、『少年探偵団』などの少年向けの推理小説なども多数手がける。代表作は『人間椅子』、『黒蜥蜴』、『陰獣』など。1954年には乱歩の寄付を基金として、後進の推理小説作家育成のための「江戸川乱歩賞」が創設された。
