This much we do know: Sophie Toscan du Plantier was murdered days before Christmas in 1996, her broken body discovered at the edge of her property near the town of Schull in West Cork, Ireland. The rest remains a mystery. Gripping, yet ever elusive, join the real-life hunt for answers in the year’s first not-to-be-missed, true-crime series.

I really enjoyed this audible. The story is great. I also enjoyed the interview style of this story. Well done. The things that made me give it 5 stars is I think all audible books should have more of which are more of a soundtrack. This story includes filler sounds, multiple characters and is more like an old radio show all the parts are there but you visualize the people and scenery. Please encourage more authors to do this style of audible. I keep thinking there is going to be more.

While the Grohl family had always been musical - the family sang together on long car trips, harmonizing to Motown and David Bowie - Virginia never expected her son to become a musician, let alone a rock star. But when she saw him perform in front of thousands of screaming fans for the first time, she knew that rock stardom was meant to be for her son. And as Virginia watched her son's star rise, she often wondered about the other mothers who raised sons and daughters who became rock stars.

I loved many aspects of this book. I love knowing there are other Rock n Roll Mom's out there, they are hardly seen. I feel like the lone Mom at my Sons shows. I loved hearing fellow struggles and realities of band life. Music business feels like such a big mystery and there aren't really any mentors for young musicians. So many times it feels like you go along just blazing your own trail. Many stories made tears well up in my eyes. Absolutely loved it. Also enjoyed hearing about musicians I was not aware of. My son chose music in his middle school years and was an early talker too. Xoxo Hayden's Rock n Roll Mom

Loved hearing how Chip & Jojo met and started down the road they are on. Also happened to be driving through Texas on the way to Waco listening to the book.
Enjoy listening to them narrate the stories and share the real life ups and downs the have gone through. Also, taking to heart JoAnna's advice on "Thriving"

At age 26, Maarten Troost decided to pack up his flip-flops and move to a remote South Pacific island. The idea of dropping everything and moving to the ends of the earth was irresistibly romantic. But he should have known better.
