Love the story and the characters. Very sad and abominable what the Germans did to the French and everyone else. A try heroine story.

I love this book.! Regina made you feel like you were right there with all the kids. I can't believe that this went on for so many years. It really saddens me that this is still going on in this day and age. Thank you Regina for sharing your story and making us more aware of what can happen. You kids did a great job of raising yourself in such an atrocious situation.

All good things must come to an end, Constant Listener, and not even Stephen King can write a story that goes on forever. The tale of Roland Deschain's relentless quest for the Dark Tower has, the author fears, sorely tried the patience of those who have followed it from its earliest chapters. But attend to it a while longer, if it pleases you, for this volume is the last, and often the last things are best.

Marion and Shiva Stone are twin brothers born of a secret union between a beautiful Indian nun and a brash British surgeon at a mission hospital in Addis Ababa. Orphaned by their mother's death in childbirth and their father's disappearance, bound together by a preternatural connection and a shared fascination with medicine, the twins come of age as Ethiopia hovers on the brink of revolution. Yet it will be love, not politics - their passion for the same woman - that will tear them apart.
