I was a late-comer to Baby Wise, but I was desperate by the time I started using the training methods in this book. The results were striking. My baby started sleeping much better, was drastically less fussy, and seemed happier and healthier.

I've tried it both ways. This way is better for both parents and baby.

Minimalism is the thing that gets us past the things that clutter our lives so we can make room for life's most important things - which actually aren't things at all. At age 30, best friends Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus walked away from their six-figure corporate careers, jettisoned most of their material possessions, and started focusing on what's truly important.

If you have ever read any self development book, you can skip this pile of trite truisms.

If you haven't read any books, find a better one.

Would you try another book from Cordwainer Smith and/or Matthew Wayne Selznick?

This book made me much less likely to read anything by Cordwainer Smith again.

Would you ever listen to anything by Cordwainer Smith again?

Perhaps only if I can be assured that it far exceeds this pathetic story.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment that I wasted my life listening to a book with such an outrageous ending.

Any additional comments?

The ending is impressively terrible, and the story has very little resolution.

A pilot stranded in the desert awakes one morning to see, standing before him, the most extraordinary little fellow. "Please," asks the stranger, "draw me a sheep." And the pilot realizes that when life's events are too difficult to understand, there is no choice but to succumb to their mysteries. He pulls out pencil and paper... And thus begins this wise and enchanting fable that, in teaching the secret of what is really important in life, has changed forever the world for its readers.

This is a textbook example of a great book that is made even better by exceptional narration. Humphrey Bower hits it out of the park.
