The story of the bullet-shaped SpaceShipOne and the other teams in the hunt is an extraordinary tale of making the impossible possible. It is driven by outsized characters - Burt Rutan, Richard Branson, John Carmack, Paul Allen - and obsessive pursuits. In the end, as Diamandis dreamed, the result wasn't just a victory for one team; it was the foundation for a new industry and a new age.

This was a thrilling ride! This was history the way it should be told—with excitement. I laughed, I cried! I felt the emotions of the people living through the experience and I am inspired. I’m in awe that I’m part of a human race with people like the ones in this book in it.

The main reason why I recommend this book is because it uses simple and easy to understand language to describe the action text steps that he recommends doing.

This bold, contrarian view, backed up by exhaustive research, introduces our near-term future, where exponentially growing technologies and three other powerful forces are conspiring to better the lives of billions of people. This book is an antidote to pessimism by tech-entrepreneur-turned-philanthropist Peter H. Diamandis and award-winning science writer Steven Kotler.

I love that this book is packed with information. Details. Perspectives from people who have taken the time to study, experiment, measure, monitor over time for change rather than drawing conclusions from old information or hearsay. And that's just the beginning. I love the explanation of the psychology behind what the media feeds our minds and why. The nonjudgmental approach to it. The leaving it up to us the reader to decide what we want to do next. Most of all, I love the practical advice and guidance that came to me at just the right time in the form of this book. Guidance I need so very much. I'm grateful and thankful to the authors and everyone who brought this all together.

Here at Audible, we know just how much of an impact a voice can have on a story - taking simple words and filling them with elation, wonderment, tragedy, or pure satisfaction. We rely on our narrators every day to bring our favorite stories and characters to life - to introduce us to new authors and genres, or even to a new (perhaps longer) commute. And though our narrators are the best story tellers in the business, it's usually someone else's that they're telling.

I loved hearing this autobiography in the author's own voice. It was wholly hers. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing her share her internal perspective on things at a very deep personal level. It was also wonderful to learn about her early life. She experience things I had no idea she did when I first started reading her poetry. I'm even more inspired by her life story now having read this. I highly recommend it. Especially if you feel like you've experienced hardship and wonder how you can keep on.
