This book taught me a lot about the rules and regulations Joel Salatin has to deal with as a farmer. Some of these beauracrstic policies are responsible for many deleterious health situations in the United States. I appreciate that Salatin is a libertarian and his heartfelt position towards prisoners who want to correct their lives.

This book has inspired me to start a worm compost, shop with local farmers, and start gardening.

When those words are spoken the reader wants more. Why is the end, the end? This is a relatively short audio book with a lot packed into it. I will definitely be reading and listening to more by this author.

Completion of this book packs a punch.

This was free on audible. Never Heard of the author nor was inclined for this type of story but it was very interesting. It's like one of those BBC shows that you unintentionally become addicted to. Like Downton Abbey. To be sure, the story was quite a bit different but it does have some nice English to it. I am an American and you can tell by this view that I've already been influenced by the dialogue.

There, men and women live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them. Sheriff Holston, who has unwaveringly upheld the silo’s rules for years, unexpectedly breaks the greatest taboo of all: He asks to go outside.

I normally loathe self published authors because the work is very shoddy and should not be printed. That is not to say that there are no good self published authors, just that they haven't gone through the quality checks that are usual to the publishing world. This is way different. This is really good stuff. I am now Hugh Howie fan.
