The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie
- Highland Pleasures, Book 1
- By: Jennifer Ashley
- Narrated by: Angela Dawe
- Length: 9 hrs and 53 mins
It was whispered all through London society that he was a murderer, that he'd spent his youth in an asylum and was not to be trusted - especially with a lady. Any woman caught in his presence was immediately ruined. Yet Beth found herself inexorably drawn to the Scottish lord whose hint of a brogue wrapped around her like silk and whose touch could draw her into a world of ecstasy.
Way above my expectations!

Loved Ian's story
I really enjoyed the story. I loved Ian as well as the glimpses of his family.
I enjoyed the narration for the most part. I found that sometimes the narrator forgot to switch back to a "narrative" voice and accents would sometimes linger. I love that she was able to create male voices that sounded real, but several times I found myself unable to distinguish between Ian's brothers. Also from chapter to chapter her voice would seem to change slightly (the pitch maybe), but that might of been a production issue. It's only a small peeve and it didn't affect my overall enjoyment since it was slight and easy to ignore. I just mentioned it because it did catch my attention while listening and for a few seconds I was distracted from the story while trying to figure out "who" was speaking.
