In this audio investigation - unavailable in book form - Lewis narrates his 2018 report from Washington originally published in Bloomberg View. From inside the White House press room - which Lewis describes as having "the cramped, uncared-for feel of a public toilet" - to a balcony overlooking "a sea of white people" in the Trump International Hotel, to Steve Bannon's Capitol Hill townhouse, where he joins the former campaign CEO to watch the State of the Union address, Lewis takes listeners on an unforgettable behind-the-scenes tour.

With authoritative reporting honed through eight presidencies from Nixon to Obama, author Bob Woodward reveals in unprecedented detail the harrowing life inside President Donald Trump’s White House and precisely how he makes decisions on major foreign and domestic policies. Woodward draws from hundreds of hours of interviews with firsthand sources, meeting notes, personal diaries, files, and documents. The focus is on the explosive debates and the decision-making in the Oval Office, the Situation Room, Air Force One, and the White House residence.

Much if this was already disclosed in the media. Several books such as that by Spicer and others corroborate thus book.
Woodward is still a great reporter/investigator and certainly pulls it together in a good read.

Tornadoes, cyclones, tsunamis… Weather can be deadly – especially when it strikes without warning. Millions of Americans could soon find themselves at the mercy of violent weather if the public data behind lifesaving storm alerts gets privatized for personal gain. In his first Audible Original feature, New York Times best-selling author and journalist Michael Lewis delivers hard-hitting research on not-so-random weather data – and how Washington plans to release it.

The general population has no idea of the magnitude nor the importance of the vast amounts of data in the world. This is a thought provoking book that looks at data but more importantly the business of data, the management of data, and the value of data. Good quote regarding why people take positions in government - it’s either for the mission OR for the money. Many pointers to Trumps staff regarding their motivation.

Comedy superstar Mike Myers writes from the (true patriot) heart about his 53-year relationship with his beloved Canada. Mike Myers is a world-renowned actor, director and writer and the man behind some of the most memorable comic characters of our time. But, as he says, "No description of me is truly complete without saying I'm a Canadian". He has often winked and nodded to Canada in his outrageously accomplished body of work, but now he turns the spotlight full-beam on his homeland.

I wish I came from canada. This book gives real heart and soul to a country I don’t know. How can we Americans be so arrogant as to not get to know or appreciate our northern neighbor?

Overall the writing and performance were excellent. There seems to be a sound editing problem and it cannot be listened to at 1.0 speed. Mike sounds like he’s about to fall asleep. At 1.25 speed it sounds more like the real Mike Myers and 1.5 was actually better. Occasionally there were some sound drags and hiccups which I’ve rarely encountered in audio books but experienced about 5 or 6 times in this one book. Nevertheless, it was well worth the sound bumps to hear this great book.

Who is Donald J. Trump? To truly understand America’s 45th president, argues Vanity Fair journalist Emily Jane Fox, you must know his children, whose own stories provide the key to unlocking what makes him tick. Born Trump is Fox’s dishy, deeply reported, and richly detailed look at Trump’s five children (and equally powerful son-in-law, Jared Kushner), exploring their lives, their roles in the campaign and administration, and their dramatic and often fraught relationships with their father and with one another.

Certainly a tabloid read but seemed genuine and straight from what we’ve already heard to be true. Sad mostly that these kids had to basically raise themselves with only a glimpse of their almighty dad. Although Tiffany might have fared the best due having the least direct interaction with him. Enjoyable read.

First chapter almost turned me off but it was like a 10-car pile up and I couldn’t turn away. Couldn’t put the book down ran 25 miles this week! Such a genuinely honest story of a boy and his mother. Touched and touching! Great job! Mother would definitely be proud!

Lots of stories that just made me smile. I’m two years older than the author so many of her childhood stories reminded me of things from the 70’s that I had forgotten. These stories are a great reminder that we are all a lot more alike than we are different and we should treat each other as friends regardless if language or nationality. Really enjoyed this book and I’m hoping she has other stories that I intend to seek and find.
