Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The woman's voice was annoyingly wistful... It's like she's trying way too hard to sound dreamy... It made me hate listening to Valentine's parts.

Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told....

Any additional comments?

Tina Fey is really, really, really funny. I enjoyed listening to her immensely. I feel like she really exposed who she is in this book. The only thing that bummed me out is 1) we don't get a copy of the PDF she mentions and 2) she mumbles under her breath sometimes. I know that the mumbling is on purpose for dramatic effect, but I listen to these things while driving a lot so it was very difficult to understand what she said when she lowered her voice, even when I had the volume turned way up.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, because I couldn't stop listening to it. The story really hooks you and pulls you in.

Any additional comments?

Altogether, the plot of the book is a little predictable. I guessed a lot of what was going to happen next because the foreshadowing used in the story is really obvious. The flow of the story was good though. I liked the direction of it. I will probably listen to this story again down the road.
