The ever after, the demonic realm that parallels our own, is shrinking, and if it disappears, so does all magic. It’s up to witch-turned-daywalking-demon Rachel Morgan to fix the ever-after before the fragile balance between magic users and humans fails. Of course, there’s also the small fact that she caused the ley line to rip in the first place, and her life is forfeit unless she can fix it.

I feel like this book has been the best book in the series so far. With the other books, there were always moments in the books I found boring. But this book was definitely more engaging and kept my attention. I was sad when this book ended.

Good story. I just felt like it was missing something. It really felt like all the monster hunting in this book was too easy. On the other hand, I loved getting to know more avout Donna and Edward's relationship, and it was great getting to hear about Olaf and Bernardo. So all in all, it's a good story....maybe just not as great as some of the previous installments.

Such a great story! I loved the way the author placed the flash backs to let the reader see where and how the characters have been and grown. I think those flashbacks help you understand why the couple end up becoming a couple so naturally.

The follow-up to the runaway bestsellers On Dublin Street and Down London Road. Despite her outgoing demeanor, Olivia is painfully insecure around the opposite sex - usually, she can't get up the nerve to approach guys she's interested in. But moving to Edinburgh has given her a new start, and, after she develops a crush on a sexy postgrad, she decides it's time to push past her fears and go after what she wants. Nate Sawyer is a gorgeous player who never commits, but to his close friends, he's as loyal as they come.

Love the pack story line of the Phoenix and Mercury packs. Sadly, the sex scenes with all the couples after like the 3rd book just started to get predictable and almost boring.

Not all couples are the same so I guess it bugs me that the author always has the male be aggressive, dominating and swearing in most of those scense (in this and almost all other books).

The only reason I listened to the first three books was b/c of a sale. The first book had an amusing storyline but I wasn't really looking forward to book 2. Book 2 was less amusing and less bearable but decent enough to finish. Book 3 may save this series for mel...we'll see.

I loved the story of Zsadist. Of the first three, this is hands-down the best in the series thus far. The author finally takes the time to develop a brother-hood character and other characters, like John, along the way. Personally, I can't stand the ridiculous vernacular the author gives the brother hood's slang.

Anyhoo, this story really almost has it all (minus my small personal annoyances): love/hate angles, refusing to die bad guys, multiple self loathing/awareness/acceptance angles, fight scenes, creepy serial killer moments, Hope/Suspense, actual surprises you don't see coming. No really, for most at least 1 surprise will catch you off guard.

In sum, if you were at all intrigued by the Zsadist character in the other novels you will love this book! If you haven't listened to any of the books in the series maybe cliff note book one and then enjoy this book!

This book has a decent storyline but its like the author just plucked things from a few other fantasy series out there and added a new villan race to make the series unique in some way. I fell asleep several times while listening...partly because of the story and mainly because of the narrator. Yea, that's the other thing--'to each his own' and all that but play the sample first. Now imagine that voice with an "OK" but not great great storyline...not awful, just harder to focus.

This was such a fun story!!! It's told from the lead male perspective. I listen at work to stay awake while grinding away at the computer so I definitely appreciated the storyline here. It was delightfully audacious. My mouth opened several times in a 'he did not just say/do that" gasp of surprise. If you are looking for a some new female porn (aka rom nov) that has steam and a plot, you can't go wrong here.

I like that the author actually keeps you guessing in this trilogy. My only annoyance (and a slight one at that) is the complete lack of detail in any couple's romantic encounters. But, I just have to keep reminding myself these stories were more geared towards young adults. With that said, the story is still gripping enough to keep me thoroughly entertained. And the new male narrarator was a good choice and finely compliments the female narrator. Well done!

Haven't read the book but I suspect it would have been easier to follow at times. The narrator (or maybe final editors) here did not give enough of a pause when switching between character points of view. This effect was distracting at times and I had to pause to book at times to make sure it hadn't skipped---nope just the narrarator's frustrating lack of pause. Despite this irriitarion, the story itself was mostly delightful and I think anyone in the mood for a some comedic female porn (aka romance novel) would enjoy this one! In short, ok narrator, good story line, and deliciously detailed 'scenes' (wink wink).
