Fortune, Ida Belle, and Gertie are finally off to Florida on the vacation they’ve always talked about. Days filled with white sand, turquoise water, and fruity drinks are the only thing on the agenda. But when Gertie’s “hot date” turns up dead and she’s the number one suspect, they’re forced to hang up their bathing suits and shift to investigating mode.

I was thoroughly enjoying this “biography” of Madame Curie. I was looking forward to listening on my daily commute only to have it end all to quickly! I never looked closely at the time of the book, only the title and synopsis. Why on earth would you do a persons story only to have it end just as their life was beginning!

The century-old First Baptist Church had everything going for it: a great location, oak pews for 1,200 people, grand piano and pipe organ, full basement for multiple functions, gymnasium, and enough rooms to accommodate any number of programs or gatherings. The only thing it really lacked was people...and the blessings of God, if you choose to be fussy about such things.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I love Anne books but this woman's voice and accent were horrible!!! :( I couldn't take it and had to leave off listening to it early on and get another version.

Would you be willing to try another one of Andrea Giordani’s performances?
