So, I listened to the first couple of Reacher novels years ago and thought they were okay. Then I listened to Scott Brick with the latest, Past Tense and really enjoyed it. So I took back up with #3 and #4. Jonathan McClain was reading and I enjoyed them. Then I hit #5 with Dick Hill reading and I could not bear it. Compared to McClain and Brick, his voice sounds so much more mature and not as intelligent as Reacher has to be. He sounded like a tough guy but not a smart tough guy. Come to find out, Dick Hill was the long-time voice of Reacher until recently. So I will not be buying any more Reacher audio books until a new one is released. Apparently I'm in the minority in on caring for Mr. Hill but my opinion is as stated.

I enjoyed the plot... otherwise not so much. Found the writing/language inelegant. The narrator was good for what she had to work with.

I can't stand the narrator's bad Winston Churchill impersonation and offensive Asian accents, etc, etc.

Such a gift of capturing the reader's interest from the start and keeping the pages turning as bits and pieces are woven into the perfect story..

One of my favorite Dallas/Roark stories. Beside the excellent mystery the personal story pulls me in so I' feel the sick dread that Dallas feels.

Just when I thought the series was getting stale JD Robb mixes it up. I loved the different approach. As always, Susan Ericksen is great.

Jeff Lindsay is back with a great story. After Dexter by Design I thought the series was a goner. But then Mr. Lindsay offered up Dexter is Delicious - another treat! And now, with Double Dexter, Dexter's back in the game as an enduring, unlikely and delishously deviant hero.
