My relationship with Hunter Delucia started backwards. We met at a wedding. Stealing glances at each other throughout the night, there was no denying an intense, mutual attraction. I caught the bouquet; he caught the garter. Hunter held me tightly while we danced and suggested we explore the chemistry sparking between us. His blunt, dirty mouth should’ve turned me off. But for some crazy reason, it had the opposite effect on me. We ended up back in my hotel room. The next morning, I headed home to New York leaving him behind in California with the wrong number.

Each day I prayed for my husband to love me again. After 15 years together, he walked away from me, and into the arms of another. I didn’t know how to cope. I didn’t know my worth. I didn’t know how to exist without him by my side. All I wanted was for him to come back to me. Then, Jackson Emery appeared. He was supposed to be a distraction for my mind. A summer fling. A confidence boost to my bruised heart. We were perfect for one another, because we both knew we wouldn’t last. Jackson didn’t believe in commitment, and I no longer believed in love.

Always enjoy listening to this narrator. I was intrigued with this book because I had heard so much positive hype.
Have to say that the writing was wonderful, a pleasure. I just wasnt as charmed as I'd anticipated. The ending was too abrupt and left me thinking that Landay just couldn't figure out a plausible way to end the novel. I'm disappointed.

I'm getting really good at cutting my losses. First, the husband. Divorcing him was the best decision I ever made. But between single-parenting and job-hunting, I can't catch my breath. When a celebrity blogging position falls into my lap, I'm determined to succeed. That is, until I get my first assignment and actually see Noah Frazier for the first time...practically naked and dripping wet. My heart races and I forget how to form complete sentences. His chiseled abs, irresistible smirk, and crystal blue eyes are too perfect to be real. So, what do I do? Get drunk and humiliate myself, of course.

Narrators were perfect as always for Emma Chase's books. As a former teacher, I found the story delightful and such a positive take on high school students and teachers. The main characters, Garrett and Cali, were mature with a healthy approach to second chances. Great characters all around. Looking forward to the new series! My favorite part of Emma's books is definitely the plethora of humor, finding myself laughing out loud throughout.

Sophia is a strong female character and of course Stanton makes an excellent lead. The comedy Emma Chase wrote for this book had me wishing it could made for a movie. DON'T MISS!!!!

The narration of this book provided superb characterizations of so many voices. The story of Kia and Sam makes you believe in good things coming to those who wait.
Kia' s ordeal prior to meeting Sam sets the tone. Sam's depiction as a man in love but unable to trust or share with Kia gives us a shaky foundation for a Hell of a story.
I'll be thinking of Sam and Kia for a long time. We've been through a lot together-or so it seems.
