Gifted with meta-human powers, Tori Rivas kept away from the limelight, preferring to work as a thief in the shadows. But when she's captured trying to rob a vault that belongs to a secret guild of villains, she's offered a hard choice: prove she has what it takes to join them or be eliminated. Apprenticed to one of the world's most powerful (and supposedly dead) villains, she is thrust into a strange world where the lines that divide superheroes and criminals are more complex than they seem.

This is nothing like superpowereds. Which I will admit, I was looking for a superpowereds fix after finishing year 4. Even with that being said, the story just didn’t pull me in like Drew’s other books did. I wasn’t invested in any of the characters until the middle of book and even then it wasn’t the main character it was the supporting cast... Donald and Ivan. I think what made this story a drag was the narrator. She tended to sound like a A.I. at times and struggled with the voices for the different characters. She especially struggled with the main character Tory, it was very difficult to pay attention when she did a Tory passage. All in all, I would suggest reading this book and pass on the audio version because it made it hard to actually enjoy the story. The next part of this book I will just read and not waste the credit on the audio.

Titan was one of the nation's most loved and respected Heroes, until an infidelity scandal tore his image and family apart. After decades spent out of the limelight, Owen Daniels has decided to take up the mantle of Titan once again to try and make amends for his years away. Unfortunately, the Titan Scandal is still common knowledge, and no Hero team wants such a polarizing figure.

This was a good story and kept me engaged until the end. The characters were likable and interesting, however the ending was anticlimactic. The villain who I spent the whole book wondering who it was in the end disappointed with the reveal. Other than that it was a good listen. A credit well spent!

This is almost worse than fight or flight. The series was doing good up until these last two. Meyers took the least likable character and made an entire story centered around her and made her 10x more unlikable. The plot made almost zero sense and Phillip most likable characters gets done so wrong in the end. I mean he wrote all of the female characters in this book to be so annoying and unreasonable it makes me wonder if he is having relationship issues in real life. I’ll be returning this one and using my credit on something else. Hopefully the next one will be better.

This book was boring maybe cause of the narrator (don’t narrate anymore books Jason. Ever.) or maybe it was the crap story but I was bored from beginning to end. I don’t know it might have been a better story if he wasn’t reading it but we will never know will we. Then it ends in a cliff hanger... just no. Cliffhangers are for series you want to continue reading this is not one of them. Save your credit/ money and move on. I for one am going to request my credit back.
