A sexually charged and wickedly funny thriller starring Tony Award-winning actor Billy Crudup, Harry Clarke is the story of a shy Midwestern man leading an outrageous double life as the titular cocky Londoner. Moving to New York City and presenting himself as an Englishman, he charms his way into a wealthy family's life as the seductive and precocious Harry, whose increasingly risky and dangerous behavior threatens to undo more than his persona.

Great performance of a mediocre play

Billy Crudup is wasted on an uninspiring play. The plot is of the sort that novelist Patricia Highsmith did much, much more effectively. There is no depth or artistry to the play, or even any surprise. It is actually woefully one note.

It's Smokey and the Bandit meets Every Which Way But Loose meets Smokey and the Bandit Parts 2 and 3. Feel the thrill as Stinker teams up with old pals Boner and Jumbo, plus new friends Buck and Rascal the Chimp, for a crazy ride across the highways and byways of Bicentennial America.

What would have made Stinker Lets Loose! better?

Intelligence.

What was most disappointing about Mike Sacks and James Taylor Johnston ’s story?

If you are a not-very-bright 14 year old male, you might laugh occasionally. Anyone else, save your money.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Narration was fine.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Stinker Lets Loose!?

All of them.

Any additional comments?

Worst purchase I've ever made on Audible, even at only $1.95.

Though Jack Kerouac began thinking about the novel that was to become On the Road as early as 1947, it was not until three weeks in April 1951, in an apartment on West 20th Street in Manhattan, that he wrote the first full draft that was satisfactory to him.

What about John Ventimiglia’s performance did you like?

John Ventimiglia must have listened to the recordings of Kerouac, because he captured Kerouac's voice really well. Kerouac had a funny way of pronouncing words with a double o sound, (doom, gloom) and John nailed it.

Any additional comments?

It's worth comparing the scroll with the first-published, edited, and censored version. The scroll is actually a better book.
