Jody has been a conduit for ghosts her entire life. Not only do they come to her for help, but at times she experiences what they feel when they die. This gift or curse comes at a high personal cost—especially when a child is involved. There’s not a man alive who is willing to compete with troubled spirits. Jared, a wealthy and determined high-powered P.I., has lived without love his entire life. In business if he wants something, he goes after it with a vengeance and is usually not denied. His life experiences have taught him that believing and trusting in others is a dead end street.

This was a stunning story both in terms of content and literary merit and narration. The combination delivers a powerful emotional punch in an era when we are exhausted and nearly immune to be touched or shocked.

Kudos to the author and the performers!

What a refreshing insider’s view of the dysfunction and chaos of the WH today. With a great narrator, this book read like a play by play of a football game—with power as the football. Use your critical thinking as you listen, remember who the key informant was (Bannon) and you’ll see why he is the hero of his own political thriller. 5 Stars for an entertaining performance and a Walter Winchell style story.

If you want to understand Putin and the corruption that undergirds his attacks on the US democracy, you MUST read or listen to this book. A moving, first person narrative of Bill Browder’s Russian “education” and the murder of Sergei Magnitsky leading to global condemnation of Putin and his regime, this book will leave you outraged and activated to protect human rights.

Max Logan's insecurities have consumed her to the point she has allowed them to skew her perceptions of people and circumstances. She has grown progressively more bitter, sarcastic, and solitary since her divorce and feels as though she has spent a lifetime getting the short end of the stick through no fault of her own; still she trudges on. Things can always get better, right? Of course, it's hard to cultivate optimism when she finds herself dead.

On the morning before her 67th death, it is business as usual for Jesse Sullivan: meet with the mortician, counsel soon-to-be-dead clients, and have coffee while reading the latest regeneration theory. Jesse dies for a living, literally. As a Necronite, she is one of the population's rare 2% who can serve as a death replacement agent, dying so others don't have to.

This snarky, quirky, inventive story had me at hello! Jesse Sullivan has a unique occupation. A death replacement agent (do NOT call them zombies!) with attitude, Jesse has a handler, two love interests (male and female) a posse of friends and a pug named Winston.

Her characters are fun, larger than life and full of piss and vinegar. The plot kept me guessing (short version: someone is trying to off all the death replacement agents (think BIG) and Jesse also happens to have an angel in her corner.

Five bright shiny stars covered with black feathers! This series is an auto buy for me!!!!
