I love the way Lisa intertwines characters from different series. I've listened to all of the FBI profiler series back to back and now nearly completed the DD Warren series - also back to back. I wish I had a dollar for every time the words 'fisted' and 'fingered' were used! - not a complaint - just an observation that amuses me!!

I love how the slow detail makes the listener part of the story and I love the Irish lilt of the narrator - however, her attempt at an Australian accent is the funniest I've heard!!

I'm Loving this series - and only have one to go - I've binge listened to books 1 - t. I am frustrated that each book has had a different narrator - they've all been good but a story with such distinct characters needs the same narrator. As I get used to each narrators style I have to refamiliarise myself with each character.

I enjoyed the relaxed pace and quirks of Elizabeth Gordon's writing. But while I usually enjoy John Lees's narration, I don't think he was quite right for this book. His depiction of the female characters and the various accents lacked authenticity. I wonder if it would have been more effective if the narrator was female. Again, I am usually a fan of John Lee but apart from Alistair I found his voices and accents bordering on ridiculous and, at times, inconsistent, to the point I found myself focussing on this rather than the story.
