Thirteen audiobook cover art

I hate legal mysteries

Overall

There is a vast wasteland of mysteries released during the last few months. This was a welcome reprieve. This is well worth a credit. Buy it enjoy it, spend the whole day and night listening to it. Thank me later.

Lately it's been a struggle to find any thing worth using my audible credits on. This mystery had a good story, good narration and an interesting female heroine. Plus it's free with Kindle Unlimited.

Whenever I think of canceling my kindle unlimited subscription a book like this comes along. Really good narration and story. I recommend all three books in this series.

Of course I liked this audiobook. I already read it several years ago when it first came out in paper back. Actually I think this may be the first novel she published as LisaGardner. I enjoy all of Lisa Gardner's books this one no exception.

It's strange to read a book from another decade and see the habits portrayed by the author. Constant drinking, smoking, fooling around.
No vegans allowed. No political correctness. A lot of male chauvinism.

For me this is the perfect thriller. it has a tough flawed heroine , think Jack Reacher, the narration is seamless, the action is over the top. The mystery was fairly predictable but who cares? Overall it was a lot of fun. When is the next one coming out?

Not what I normally read and a little slow to start but eventually it was well worth a credit. There aren't enough stars to rate Ms Kellgren's performance.

Non fiction is not my genre. However this seemed interesting. Apparently bees are somewhat of a mystery and a thriller. I loved it.

I prefer upbeat novels. Sometimes trashy, funny highly unlikely plots. Junk food for readers.
This book is instead fine dining . Characterizations are precise, plot is complex, the tone is slightly sad throughout but with a somewhat happy ending. Just what one would expect from Ms Gardner.

A good audiobook usually produces laughter or tears. This produced groans over the sometimes corny dialogue and occasional factual errors. However the story was so entertaining and the action nonstop I still enjoyed this book.
