Jane’s days at a Midwest insurance company are perfectly ordinary. She blends in well, unremarkably pretty and extra efficient. She’s just the kind of woman middle manager Steven Hepsworth likes - meek, insecure, and willing to defer to a man. No one has any idea who Jane really is. Least of all Steven. But plain Jane is hiding something. Nothing can distract Jane from going straight for his heart: allowing herself to be seduced into Steven’s bed, to insinuate herself into his career and his family, and to expose all his dirty secrets. So she can take it all away. Just as he did to her.

This book had so much potential. It could’ve gone a lot darker and had an actual good satisfying ending. I hate when books have endings like this. It absolutely wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever listened to/read.. not worth a credit in my opinion I am returning it.

This is a pointless story about a delusional woman constantly popping pills and drinking all because she was fired from her job where she was having an affair with her boss.... horrible plot.... even more horrible the ending... literally no point to this story except rambling on and on... the other characters weren't interesting at all either... I listened hoping it would get better.... it did not... waste of a credit... I'm returning this ... thanks but no thanks..

Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, mother, their teenaged son. The perfect family. This is such a good book! I was assuming it was going to follow the basic psychological thriller formula but it had several twists and turns that I was absolutely not expecting and it really surprised me wonderful author! The narration is good as well except for the very end when she is interviewing AJ Finn... she sounds like a sexy robot LOL otherwise great story great author great plot twists great narration read it you won't regret it

Superheroes have always been Leia Birch Briggs' weakness. One tequila-soaked night at a comics convention, the usually level-headed graphic novelist is swept off her barstool by a handsome and anonymous Batman. It turns out the caped crusader has left her with more than just a nice, fuzzy memory. She's having a baby boy - an unexpected but not unhappy development in the 38-year-old's life.

I absolutely love this book. I love the fact that Joshilyn Jackson is also the narrator because you know that she is making the characters sound exactly how they are supposed to. I love that the main character is a female comic artist. I love that it takes place in the south like most of her books do.. and I just love all of the characters and when you find out the secret at the end it's so worth it.

Amber Patterson is fed up. She's tired of being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She deserves more - a life of money and power like the one blond-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish takes for granted. To everyone in the exclusive town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, Daphne - a socialite and philanthropist - and her real-estate mogul husband, Jackson, are a couple straight out of a fairy tale. Amber's envy could eat her alive...if she didn't have a plan.

This is a greatly written thriller! I thought it was going to be one of those books that was predictable or ended up being good until the very end and then having an awful ending. I was so wrong! This book has a lot of twist and turns Plus the ending is outstanding! Revenge, betrayal etc. It has it all. One of the best books in this type of genre that I have read in a long while.

This is a wonderful book that will keep you guessing. I definitely did not see the end coming but the actual ending.. the last paragraph really made me mad! The very end should've been different IMO!
The whole time all I could think was "POP, SIX, Squish, Uh-Uh , Cicero, Lipchitz! Lol!! If you'd have been there, if you'd have seen it, you would have done the same! Love it ! One of the best I've heard in a while....
