In this short piece, theosophical writer Remsen Whitehouse sets out to disprove a common argument against Buddhism during his day: that all Buddhists are atheistic. He examines the difference between divine intelligence and a God as well as pantheism and the concept of an immortal soul.

This 13 minute book is ridiculous. The author obviously had a thesaurus in front of him and just picked out fancy words and randomly laid them out on the paper. This book is incoherent , rambling and ridiculous.

What is the difference between agents that succeed and agents that fail? The answer lies in what they know. Most real estate agents do not know what they must do to succeed. It's that simple. Longtime real estate broker, mentor, and trainer Matt Williams has observed the practices of successful, as well as unsuccessful, agents for more than 30 years. In this book, Matt shares the things agents must think, do, and say in order to succeed.

While he's not quite a household name, most people would consider H. Jon Benjamin, the voice-actor star of Archer and Bob's Burgers (and a sentient can of mixed vegetables in 2015's Wet Hot American Summer) a comedy show business success. But he'd like to remind everyone that as great as success can be, failure is also an option. In a hilarious, self-deprecating memoir, Jon lays out some of his many failures in all areas of life, from Work ("wherein I'm unable to deliver a sizzling fajita") to Family ("wherein a trip to PF Chang's fractures a family").

In a fast-paced and action-packed narrative, Navy SEAL commander Rorke Denver tackles the questions that have emerged about America's past decade at war - from what makes a hero to why we fight and what it does to us. Heroes are not always the guys who jump on grenades. Sometimes, they are the snipers who decide to hold their fire, the wounded operators who find fresh ways to contribute, or the wives who keep the families together back home.

In President Me, Carolla shares his vision for a different, better America free from big issues like big government down to small problems like hotel alarm clock placement. Running on an anti-narcissism platform, President Carolla calls for a return to the values of an earlier time when stew and casserole were on every dinner table and there were no “service dogs” on airplanes. President Me hits right at the heart of what makes our country really annoying, and offers a plan to make all of our lives, but mostly Adam’s, much better.

Thank You Adam Carrola. You are now a hero of mine. Yes, I'm a white guy. (Guess what, I am not ashamed of it either). Yes, I have a retirement fund. Yes, my kids are smart and I only have two of them. I'm not "Rich", but I am doing alright if you know what I mean. I agree with just about everything Adam is saying here. This is a hilarious RANT about how f%^^^d up we have become as a society. I am sick of people screwing up their lives by the choices they make and then wanting ME to help them out. I didn't force you to have 11 kids and not be able to provide for any of them. You know what. F&^^% YOU! I didn't drive that heroin needle into your arm. I didn't hold the crack pipe up to your pie-hole. What the hell has happened to the people on this planet? I laughed my ass off listening to this, but I was also pissed off because he is absolutely correct. If you live in section 8 housing, are on welfare, or have even been on welfare, have called 911 more than one time in a month, buy DVDs in the 5 dollar bin at Walmart, put red plastic wrap over your broken taillights instead of fixing them, drive without insurance, think WWE is real, take religion seriously, or take your shoes off IN THE F^&^%$$ PLANE, then you will not enjoy this book. Because it is a rant about you, dumb#$$. Or heck, maybe you will like it, because you are too stupid to actually understand it is written about you. Hell I don't know; I'm too busy trying to make an honest living and trying to get ahead to worry about you anyway. For the rest of the good people out there, keep up the good work, we need you.

Although Bill isn't too rough on creationists, he is fairly blatant in letting you know that they are dead wrong. There are some amazingly interesting science facts in this book. It keeps you hooked from start to finish. Great book, great gift.. great guy . I love the Science guy!

This author and I have a very similar view and life experience. It is a good refresher for some folks, and an eye opener for a lot of folks I imagine. Good stuff. Brings up a lot of good points on how to be prepared, not in a crazy "prepper " way, but an average, everyday American doing little things to be ready when the eventual SHTF happens.

Because They Hate is a political wake-up call. Brigitte Gabriel, who lost her childhood to militant Islam, warns that the United States is threatened by fundamentalist Islamic theology in the same way that Lebanon was - that radical Islam will stop at nothing short of domination of all non-Muslim countries. Fiercely articulate and committed, Gabriel both tells her own story and outlines the history, social movements, and religious divisions that have led to this critical historical conflict.

This is a great book simply explaining evolution. It has a lot less "Religion Bashing" than I thought it would. Very little of that in fact. The good thing about that is that this would be a good listen (Gift) for the indoctrinated religious person who may have some hope of jumping on the evolution train. Come on it's a great ride! Dr. Coyne goes into GREAT detail for countless animal species which I found fascinating. Fascinating read highly recommended, especially for FOX News watchers. One nit-pick.... there are several illustrations that are referenced that the audio book reader cannot access. I wish Audible had them available for download too like on some other books.
