I have a huge problem with George guidall as narrator, going back to when he took over as narrator of the "Dark Tower series" by S.King.
you can't tell if its a female or kid and all his men sound so similar, you sometimes can't tell them apart. he sucks, but us audio bookers are stuck with him.

A masterful, intensely suspenseful novel about a reader whose obsession with a reclusive writer goes far too far - a book about the power of storytelling, starring the same trio of unlikely and winning heroes King introduced in Mr. Mercedes. "Wake up, genius." So begins King's instantly riveting story about a vengeful reader. The genius is John Rothstein, an iconic author who created a famous character, Jimmy Gold, but who hasn't published a book for decades.

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Its easy for a writer to throw in crazy outlandish twists and turns into a story. It takes a master of story telling to glue all the pieces back together by the end,its very rare.
that is what makes this book stand out within all sci/fyi stories and all of King's works as well.

i think this was king's strongest twisting, flipping and then, most importantly, the realigning of a storyline to date (1986).a truly beautiful work of literary art.
