Extremely well done! Some of the sound effects seemed off. Was anyone else distracted by the ticking sound during some of the ladies conversations? It drove me bonkers trying to figure out what it signified. Were they near a clock or metronome? 🧐 Otherwise fabulous!

I greatly enjoyed Ms. Hannah's first two Poirot books, however in this third book I was shocked and disappointed to the point I will not be purchasing anymore Poirot books she might write. In "The Mystery of Three Quarters" Poirot exhibits some uncharacteristic insensitivity and even mean behavior towards adults and children. Additionally his deductions are reaching and weak. Also, Detective Catchpool plays a much lesser part; Hannah's character whose eyes I've enjoyed seeing Poirot through. All in all, I don't recommend this book for avid Agatha Christie readers.

More than usual, King weaves intriguing and seemingly unrelated plot threads into a shocking design of revelations! In case you're wondering, Mary Russell's extensive yet spellbinding perception of personalities and settings in this novel account for the book's length compared to others in this series.

I'd rate this PG for some violence and mature themes.

This is a classic "girl likes the bad boy and their love is true" fiction story. I guess I don't fantasize that way so the story was unbelievably improbable. However, I did appreciate the lack of swearing and explicit sex scenes.

I tried listening to this but the swearing and violence was too much. I only got thru one and a half chapters so I couldn't say how good the story is or isn't - without the swearing that is...

I'm a fan of Daphne's novels, but felt left hanging and frustrated with the vague and inconclusive endings of these short stories. Perhaps it's just a literary style that doesn't appeal to me since the ratings were high for this book. Sadness...

Initially I got this because it was on sale and the reviews were good, however I wish books had content ratings the way movies do. I would rate this pg-13 due to the licentious sexual content.

Other than that, I found the first half boring and shallow because it was more about the glamor and sleuthing costumes worn by the main character than the crimes being solved.
