It’s been years since I’ve been back in this small town of West Virginia for more than a day or two. Spending time here brings back a lot of fond memories. When I stopped by an old friend’s bar, I was expecting to grab a drink and catch up. What I didn’t expect was her. We share an undeniable attraction, but we continue to fight it. Until one night in Vegas changes everything.

I loved this! The narration was perfection. The characters wonderfully developed and totally knowable! Rhett 3 was swoon-worthy! Everyone who mattered was special.

Hot as hell, nothing crass.

Totally worth the credit!

A side note... the editor/writer/proofreader failed catching a few mistakes. If there is SO much snow that UTV’s (no, not atv’s) are used to go “sled riding” than you can’t turn around and take the UTV out to the pond to go skating...., too much snow! And when you were gone Thursday night and Friday night and got home Saturday you don’t then tell your friend the story about Saturday night, it was Friday night. SO, if little things like these don’t bother you to distraction you will find NOTHING to complain about with this highly enjoyable tale.

Why ruin a potential story with bad narration? I don’t understand. It was all so rushed!!!!!! There was great potential here, but the story was hurried along and the READER raced along.

Worth a credit? Nope!

He's That Guy. You know, the hero in almost every romance novel. The super-rich, powerful CEO who is beyond sexy. Lives in a penthouse. Is wicked in bed. Has massive.... feet. Is kind of a jerk, but really he's not because he harbors some major secret that, once revealed, explains why he is the way he is - therefore completely redeeming himself and making all the listeners who hated to love him swoon....

I think this book was a total riot! It had perhaps the most bizarre lead character I’ve ever ‘met’. Jake was, a swoon worthy jerk turned good guy. But Penelope was a total wild card.

That said, I laughed, rolled my eyes, guffawed, giggled and sighed my way through this.

Don’t that the two narrators lead you into thinking this is a dual POV telling. It’s NOT! And that was a disappointment. The second narrator did the epilogue. Period. But even that was well done!

Worth it? Oh yes, finger-snaps, finger guns, river dance!

This was good, so good! But perhaps a little rushed here and there.... a little ‘scattered’, if that makes sense.

I love Luke... Julie gets tiring, more backstory would have fixed that. Opportunity missed.

Fantastic narration!

Steamy hot hot hot.

Glad it was a package thing... would I have paid a credit? Probably.

Dirty rich one night stand. That's all it was supposed to be. He's the powerful attorney, now world-renowned after coming off the trial of a century which was publicized across the country. And I'm one of the reporters that sat in his courtroom. I watched him, studied him, got to know him from afar which isn't hard since I know his exact brand of confidence, arrogance, and wealth. I know his type. I've dated his type. Which is why when I happen to come face to face with him, when sparks fly and heat simmers between us, I know what happens if I say yes to Reese Summer.

The dirty rich saying gimmick is almost irritating, but only almost. It lets you know what you’re getting. And that is a good book, well written, highly entertaining and hot as hot gets.
The sex was not the core of the book, thankfully.

The narration duo is awesome! Their voices work together so that either one is not a shock, doesn’t pull you out of the story or make you feel like each character has a split personality.

Totally enjoyed this courtroom drama romance.
Well worth the credit!

We met in the least likely of places. It started out innocently enough. I was “ScreenGod”, and she was “Montana”, but of course those weren’t our actual names, just the virtual cloaks we hid behind. Logging in at night and talking to her was my escape - my sanctuary. Her real name was Eden, I’d soon come to find out. From the first time we connected online, I found myself transfixed. She was an addiction. At first, we knew nothing about each other’s real identities...and she was adamant that we keep things that way.

The blurb tells you the basics and from there a really good story grows.

The sex is steaming hot, erotic and spicy.
There is humor, a little angst, a little wisdom, and a lot of love.... what more could you ask for?

And if I forget to say it, I LOVED this book. It was heartbreaking and heartwarming and wonderful.

BUT IT WAS ONE BOOK NOT THREE! And I am really tired of being taken advantage of by this non-trilogy book-in-3-parts overpriced way of taking advantage of readers. Just tell us up front so we can CHOOSE to go into the story knowing what it will cost to hear the whole thing. A little honesty would go a long way.

That said....

I wasn’t overly fond of the dual narration twist on this installment. I knew Nicks voice and personality from the first two installments and didn’t need a new addition. I think I even resented it a bit. But mostly I hated how awful he was at Avery’s voice. He can NOT portray women. As a duet these two would shine... his voice was yummy any other time as the male lead in a story, duet style. But the dual idea of whole chapter doesn’t work for him.

As usual this book was sexy hot, erotic and scorchingly captivating.

Was it worth it? I got ‘book’ 1 in my romance package, 2 and 3 I used credits for. Because I saw the reviewers warnings I went into book one aware of what it would take if I needed to hear it all. Since they were each a decent length I went for it. Had Avery not been an artist I probably wouldn’t have. Because for me it resonated so well that although I hate the marketing trick I did want to check it out. Book three was extremely necessary. And yes, it WAS worth it!

This is 1/3 of a book, the middle third no less. The trend towards such deceptive marketing makes me furious, authors should know better than to treat their readers with such contempt! Come on... just give it to us at once or clearly market it as a multi credit book! Grrr.....

That said...

I almost enjoyed ‘book’ two as much as the first so called book. I did however find myself blanking out during some of the sex scenes. Not that they aren’t hot as hell (they are!) but there is just SO much of it!

Narration is fabulous and I hate to say it but I will be going on to part three regardless of it feeding into the gullibility of readers who get sucked into the whole “book in three pieces” game.

This is not a whole book... it’s one book that is sold in three pieces claiming it’s a trilogy. Nothing is resolved in book one other than a part of the whole story. There’s no real cliffhanger as much as the feeling that you forgot to keep reading. This kind of marketing really pisses me off! Especially when book one was part of the romance package and two and three weren’t. Twice the insult if you ask me.

That BS aside....

I loved this book. It felt very real. The narration is excellent and the heat Factor is off the charts.

Is it worth a credit? Well, I have yet to finish the ‘trilogy’ but paying three times for one book sucks!
