Although "Out of the Shadows" was excellent, "River of Pain" wasn't. Poor voice actors and lame dialogue make this a sub par listening experience.

Incredibly well executed audio book! I don't know how they auditioned someone to sound like Sigourney Weaver, but O.M.G. PERFECTION. The story is good, the supporting characters are believable and the effects and music are perfectly on point. I'm a big Alien nerd and I loved this. Wished it was longer!

What a shame! A "full cast performance" where the narrator and the actors take turns doing the voices! Incredibly confusing. There's no rhyme or reason to it. The ENTIRE story feels like monotone. At Least, I know the story now, but this should be remade.

Just a beautiful life account by a beautiful man. Laughing and crying and learning about integrity and love in a business that is often devoid of both.

A look into the origin of Palpatine through the eyes of his Master. Gripping and intriguing.

The narrator does a pretty good job with most of the voices though, gets a bit confusingly similar with the different Senate humans. Also, in my opinion, Darth Sidious and Palpatine should have had different tonal qualities from each other.

Because this view of Palpatine is thru Darth Plagueis we don't get to be inside Palpatine's head as he masters the Dark Side. A perspective I was hoping to gain. Alas.

A great book however! Very enjoyable!

This has been a life saver. I always have terrible trouble sleeping and the induction on this course just takes me away. My distractable A.D.D. brain is so hard to quiet at night. Having an audio guided path to sleep has just been amazing. It's also helping both my girlfriend and I to be more relaxed through these stressful days. We both look forward to learning each night! We're excited to try other courses! Highly recommend!!
