But Calaena is far from loyal to the crown. Keeping up the charade - while pretending to do the king's bidding - will test her skills in an entirely new way. this book was wonderful. The narration was spot on between the characters and their accents for home origin wad awesome. I was seriously surprised by the twist. I find I can usually call it, never saw this one coming! Great listen for anyone. The story makes you feel for the characters. It is so common for a lot of people so the relate ability is wonderful. The narrator has such a smooth comforting voice she just lulls you through the story. I would definitely recommend this book for someone who wants heartfelt without mushy...a little struggle and some strong, independent women main characters who lead you through a surprising plot!

this is probably the best fantasy adult series I've ever listened to. the emotions narrated come through as genuine and you forget they are gargoyles. love the swearing because in my world it brings a piece of authenticity and some things just need a swear to explain it. all characters are strong and can stand alone yet put together make a family you want to be a part of.
great narration and amazing writing!

The Bourne Identity meets Divergent in this action-packed debut thriller with a Katniss-esque heroine fighting to regain her memories and stay alive, set against a dystopian hospital background.

Sarah starts a crazy battle for her life within the walls of her hospital-turned-prison when a procedure to eliminate her memory goes awry and she starts to remember snatches of her past. Was she an urban terrorist or vigilante? Has the procedure been her salvation or her destruction?

The answers lie trapped within her mind. To access them, she'll need the help of the teen computer hacker who's trying to bring the hospital down for his own reasons, and a pill that's blocked by an army of mercenary soldiers poised to eliminate her for good. If only she knew why…

"This is a snap-the-whip story, dark and fast. The sparks of humor in the voice won me over. Bottom line: I think the cocktail of suspense and believable smart-assery adds up to an addictive dose of reader appeal." —Blythe Woolston, author of the William C. Morris Award winner The Freak Observer

This series isn't for someone who has a hard time keeping up. There are so many characters and names to remember who did what and then who was with whom, but you needed it all to make sense. I would have wished only that they would have brought her earth husband Don in at some point, not trying to spoiler. Narration was amazing with all the characters. Wonderful series and I'm sad I have to move on.
