What disappointed you about The Last Theorem?

Old men telling a story about what they imagine to be how young people live, interspersed with their egomanical views on how to "save the world".

Has The Last Theorem turned you off from other books in this genre?

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Mark Bramhall?

He did ok.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Last Theorem?

Most everything. All the "happily living along in Sri Lanka" stuff.

Any additional comments?

The worst book by Clarke I know. By far. All of his old ideas mixed into one book, in a boring story with very little "science fiction".

Would you try another book from Christopher Hitchens and/or Christopher Hitchens?

Yes, but only if the author doesn't read it.The book is good, the arguments, while not new, well founded in quotations and facts. Interesting and sometimes new (to me) details.

What didn’t you like about Christopher Hitchens’s performance?

Sorry, but the man can't read. Slurry, hard to understand, monotone that makes you sleepy.

Nice idea, bad execution

The plot idea is nice, and the writing starts out nice enough, but it really falls off towards the end. All the action scenes are clumsy, many don't make sense. Also - something I dislike in movies, too - the plot only goes forward because the main character behaves exceedingly stupid. Not a great listen, I'm afraid.
