Wow! What a fantastic series. Loved this one even more than book one.
So many layers of complexity, so many questions answered and then many more we'll need book 3 to answer.
Love all the connections, all the layers and how much each character's journey is tied into the story and each other. So glad I go all 3 books at the same time because I would have a heck of a time waiting in between.

Narrator did a great job, specially considering that there are so many characters with active POVs in this series.

Author Jennifer Alsever delivers an addictive story about a teen grieving over her parent's tragic death who becomes entangled with a mysterious forest teeming with urban legends of strange disappearances and witchcraft. Ember Trouve used to be alive, driven to become a musician and on a path to college. That was before her parents died. One day, after venturing into the fabled Trinity Forest, she goes missing. Really enjoyed this book.
Parts of it hurt my heart. I hated some of the things that happened to Ember and yet they are entirely realistic and all too common IRL.
The story is very interesting and kept me enthralled the entire time.
The plot is different and unlike other books I've read/listened to.
I kept trying to guess what's happening next and I couldn't, which very rarely happens.
I can usually see the twists way ahead of the plot.
Great narrator too. I started book 2 as soon as I finished this one.

Only she couldn’t act on her feelings even if she wanted to. Steve wanted her to date someone with a normal job - that wasn’t his partner.

This is a short novella that acts as an intro for the Fairfield Corners series.
The characters are likable and the story did it's job and grabbed my attention enough.
I will be interesting to see where the rest of the series goes.

I read a lot of angel books and they all have something in common.
But this one was a little different in the way the author went about it.
It's an interesting concept.
The story is short and offered a new take on an angel and human relationship.

So, this is book 6 and I'm glad there's just one more. I enjoyed the overall story arch, the plot is unique and it kept me coming back despite some shortfalls and too convenient plot at a times. But this book, #6 fell short of the other ones. The entire second half was boring with too many drawn out battle scenes, too much telling and no show.
And it felt like some characters like Desmond are being kept around only for drama.
The narrator did an excellent job.

This is a cute Cinderella meets magic version. The language is simple and the plot is straight forward. There was a couple of nice twists at the end. I would recommend this book to middle grade kids and younger teens.

Narrator was a good match to the character and the voices were distinctive enough.

This is a new author to me and I went in blind.

Three short stories make up this book. All of them centered around residents of Summer Island.
The three stories are fun and light, but a little over the top sometimes.

I found the heroines to have very similar voices, and I don't mean the narrator, I mean the character's voice—especially the first two. They behave and act similarly. The heroes were a little more distinctive.
The narrator did a great job, with both the female and males voices.

This is both a best friends to lovers and second chance romance.
I wanted to smack some sense into the characters a couple of times, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
The narrator did a good job at capturing the characters as well.

I didn't enjoy this one as much as the previous ones.
