Halloween is upon us. For most, it's a fun time of year where we dress up in our favorite costumes and get lots of candy. For others, it can be the most frightening time of year. In these five scary stories, that's the case. Prepare yourself. You have been warned!

The stories are fun but the narrator sounds like a wierdo. His intonation is very annoying. He draws out the last word in the sentence. It is very odd.

I already listened to Robin Hobb's dragon series and I wish I listened to this first as it takes place before and gives a bigger history to the story. It is fun to learn more about some of the characters that were in the dragon series. I love Anne Flosnik. She does an amazing job. Some people think she talks too slow or draws out her words too much but I think she reads with emotion and really gets the characters. I especially like it when she reads the drunk characters. It is so funny.

In exchange for her protection against enemy invaders, the humans promised to protect an unhatched brood of dragons. But when the dragons emerged as weak and misshapen hatchlings unable to fend for themselves, dragonkind seemed doomed to extinction. When even Tintaglia deserted the crippled young dragons, the Rain Wilders abandoned the burden of caring for the destructive and ravenous creatures.
